Everyone Deserves a Place to Heal
Home & Healing exists to close the gap between recovery and a safe, stable place to live.
Whether someone is actively in treatment, transitioning to a lower level of care, or working to hold onto progress they've already made, the same problem keeps getting in the way: without a safe, stable place to live, even the strongest progress can unravel. A person can be doing everything right — showing up to treatment, doing the work, fighting hard — and still end up back in crisis, simply because there was nowhere safe to land.
Home & Healing exists to close that gap.
Housing help, scaled to what someone can actually afford.
We help people in recovery from substance use disorder, mental health challenges, or both find and afford a safe, stable place to live. We help cover the cost of housing for clients who qualify, scaled to what someone can actually afford, so a lack of money is never the reason someone goes without a stable place to live.
Our door is open, wherever you are in the journey.
We serve individuals in the greater Phoenix area who are facing housing insecurity, homelessness, or financial hardship, and who are also navigating recovery from substance use, a mental health condition, or both — whether they're just beginning that journey, still actively in treatment, or further along and working to maintain what they've built.
Stepping Down From Treatment
Someone who has completed a higher level of care and is stepping down to continued treatment — such as an outpatient or intensive outpatient program — who still needs a stable, supportive place to live for as long as that treatment continues, while they keep working to stabilize their mental health or strengthen their recovery from addiction.
In Crisis & Losing Housing
Someone experiencing a mental health crisis on top of losing their housing.
Holding Onto Progress
Someone further along in recovery, doing everything right, but still one setback away from losing the stability they've worked hard to build.
Wherever someone is in that journey, our door is open. We don't believe stable housing should be conditional on having already figured everything else out — for many people, it's the housing that makes figuring everything else out possible in the first place. Eligibility is based on financial need and circumstance, not on how far along someone is in their recovery.

When housing stops being a daily crisis, recovery has room to take hold.
Recovery is rarely a straight line, and it is almost never something a person does entirely alone. It takes a place to sleep that feels safe. It takes people checking in. It takes room to breathe while putting a life back together. We believe that when housing stops being a daily crisis, recovery finally has room to take hold — and that everyone deserves that chance, regardless of what brought them to this point or what their bank account looks like.
A safe place to live isn't a reward for recovery — it's one of the foundations that makes recovery possible.
A young organization, growing deliberately.
We're a young organization, and we're growing deliberately. We're working to identify more safe places for people to live, developing partnerships with local funders and grant programs, and inviting individuals who believe in this mission to help us grow our reach.
Every person we house is one more person given a real chance.
Every person we're able to house is one more person given a real chance at lasting recovery. Whether you want to give financially, volunteer your time, or simply learn more about our work, we'd love to hear from you.
